RN IV Refresher Course

Registered nurses who have IV therapy knowledge and prior clinical experience but have been working outside of hands-on clinical practice — for example, in administrative, educational, or other non-bedside roles, or returning after extended leave — and need a refresher before resuming direct patient care involving IV therapy. Content assumes working knowledge of basic IV concepts and reflects current evidence and standards (including the 2024, 9th-edition Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice), with a focus on updates, judgment calls, and the practice details that fade with time away from the bedside.

The online portion of the course will issue a certificate of completion that will need to be uploaded to register for the lab day. The online portion is valid for 12 hours of CE and the Lab day is valid for 4 hours of CE.
