$79 Online Medication Manager

This course is a self-paced online course with up to 60 days to complete. You will complete online learning only for 12 hours and then complete 8 hours of skill check off training with an RN at your workplace. During your skill check hours you must become proficient in the following:

• Handwashing
• Administration of Oral Medication
• Administration of Eye Drops
• Administration of Eye Ointment
• Administration of Ear Drops
• Nasal Medications
• Administration of Topical Medications
• Applying transdermal patch
• Applying transdermal ointment
• Assisting with Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI)

Your registration will be processed within 24hours. You will receive an email asking you to set your password. Registration is not processed immediately. 

Medication Manager Prerequisites

• 18 years old or older
• Working in residential care facilities with 15 beds or less, assisted living settings, childcare centers, supportive living communities, and home and community-based services.
• An RN agrees to supervise 8 practicum hours at your workplace.

This self-paced course includes 12 hours of online training followed by 8 hours of skill check-off with an RN. The student will have up to 60 days to complete the online course and the skill check hours. To verify the skill check hours, a form that is included in the online course must be completed by the RN and uploaded into the course. Our office will validate the form an allow the student to move on to the final exam. The student must earn a minimum score of 80% on the final exam for the certificate of completion to populate. The total cost for this course is $79.

Insulin administration is not within the scope of a medication manager, however, if the facility/workplace chooses to delegate a medication manager to administer insulin, this is allowed under delegation policy. Insulin administration is not a skill in this course. Diabetes is one of the many covered conditions in this course with key terms such as hypoglycemia/insulin reaction.
