Nursing School Prep

This 16-week hybrid course is structured to boost your confidence in essential nursing skills and knowledge, serving both as nursing school prep and a complement to your nursing education. Under the guidance of a team of seasoned nurses and nurse educators, participants will gain practical insights into learning tailored to real-world applications.

Registration fee - $395

Each participant will be responsible for their registration fee, which includes comprehensive groundwork courses, an anatomy and physiology course, student career counseling, nursing school prep, nursing assessment, and nursing skills training, as well as a pharmacology course.

Nursing school prep is completed over 16 weeks. This course offers students a supportive learning environment that builds their confidence for future nursing school attendance. We will cover essential topics, including how to navigate the FASFA and secure grants and loans, as well as practical tips and tricks for injections, medication management, and critical nursing skills. Students can choose to attend all courses or select a-la-cart options that best fit their learning needs, such as an anatomy and physiology course or a pharmacology course. Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays at alternating morning and afternoon times at our West Des Moines training center, also incorporating nursing assessment techniques.

Students will attend all four groundwork courses, including the anatomy and physiology course, and then meet with our student support coordinator to assist in choosing their nursing school prep education plan. This cohort will also cover essential topics such as nursing assessment, nursing skills, and the pharmacology course, and it is limited to 50 participants.
