Medical Assistant
Medical assistants work in clinics with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. They room patients, collect patient history, vital signs, and labs. In Iowa, a national certification exam is not required to work. Health Tech Associates offers medical assistant training and a certificate of completion. This training prepares you to work in a clinic and to challenge the national exam after you have completed sufficient work hours.
Schedule
Medical assistant training is completed over 12 weeks with and optional externship.
Class is held on Mondays and Thursdays from 12pm-3pm at our West Des Moines training center.

- Adv CNA
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Two step TB or Chest Xray
- Background Check
