This is the final step to be listed on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry and begin working as a Certified Nurse Aide.
Process
- Skills testing administered by a qualified RN evaluator
- Private, simulated testing environment with required equipment provided
- Direct submission of results to the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry
Cost
- Skills testing is $135
- Payment is due at the time of registration
What to Bring
- A valid photo ID (state ID, driver’s license, or school-issued ID)
- Professional attire (scrubs or similar)
Please arrive 15 minutes early. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
Policy Reminders
- The skills test may only be attempted three times per Iowa law
- All participants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement upon arrival
